More than 400 business and finance institutions from 52 countries with combined revenues of more than $2 trillion helped convince governments at COP15 to adopt in Target 15 of the Global Biodiversity Framework: 

Requirements for all large businesses and financial institutions to assess and disclose their risks, impacts and dependencies on biodiversity by 2030.

At the UN Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP15) in Montreal in December 2022, governments adopted a new global agreement on nature setting us on track to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030.

Support the Make It Mandatory campaign

Although COP15 took place in December and a new Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework has been agreed and adopted, businesses can still sign up to and support the COP15 business statement on mandatory assessment and disclosure and join companies from across the globe that helped convince governments at COP15 to require all large businesses and financial institutions to assess and disclose their impacts and dependencies on nature by 2030.
