Faced with the urgency and scale of the ecological crisis, there is no time to lose. Over a thousand companies are already taking action for nature. We hope that more will be inspired to act.
Taking action means doing something with meaningful benefits for the natural world. It’s the right thing to do and makes economic and financial sense. For example you could:
Reduce your company’s negative impact on nature;
Invest in protecting and restoring nature;
Innovate and scale up products and technologies with a lower impact.
Businesses can take action through specific projects, across their company, through their supply chains or they can act collaboratively within their sector. They can tackle different drivers of nature loss, on land or at sea. Importantly, actions are happening right now. We’ve provided a sample of actions below to give you a taste of the way companies are changing how they do business.

Businesses are acting for nature
We found that over a thousand companies are already taking action for nature. This number is a conservative estimate based on a review of case studies either collected in databases developed by other organizations, or submitted directly to Business for Nature. Business Action on Climate & Nature
The urgency to act on the intertwined crises of climate change and nature loss has never been higher. Leading companies are adopting strategies to take integrated action on climate and nature—and tackling the related challenges of land degradation, food insecurity and social inequality.
A number of these companies have shared their journeys to integrate action on climate and nature through a series of brief case studies. Together, they demonstrate how business can help lead the transition to an equitable, net-zero and nature-positive global economy.
