Our team
The Business for Nature coalition is staffed by a small team, who coordinate and communicate with Partners, Strategic Advisors and other stakeholders, and are responsible for Business for Nature’s day-to-day activities.
Eva Zabey
Geneva, Switzerland
Before joining Business for Nature in November 2019, Eva led work on measuring and valuing natural, social and human capital in business at WBCSD, including developing the Capitals Coalition’s Natural Capital Protocol.
Fun fact: Eva was pregnant with her daughter when she gave this TEDx talk in 2012.
Maelle Pelisson
London, UK
Before joining Business for Nature in June 2019, Maelle was working for WWF in the UK and in Cambodia where she was leading private sector engagement. Maelle also worked for several years on European advocacy for renewable energy policies.
Fun fact: Maelle has dove with 8 different types of shark.
Lucy Coast
Bristol, UK
With a background in sustainability and communications, this role brings together Lucy’s two passions. Prior to taking this role, Lucy ran her own freelance communications business for several years with clients including TSB, Good Energy and KPMG.
Fun fact: Lucy had the pleasure of having tea and biscuits with Sir David Attenborough in his living room while working on a global climate change project.
Michael Ofosuhene-Wise
Abuja, Nigeria
Prior to joining Business for Nature, Michael worked with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) where he managed a group of ambitious companies to positively influence major international climate policy processes and moments. Michael has also worked on corporate sustainability reporting to help companies improve disclosure of material information to key stakeholders and has worked on initiatives to help companies in measuring and valuing their impacts and dependencies on nature and societies.
Fun Fact: In 2007, Michael played organized football in the German District League (Kreisliga) for SV Lohhof.
Constanza Torres
Mexico City, Mexico
As an Environmental Scientist with a master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation, Constanza has experience in both Biological Sciences and International Environmental Policy. Before joining Business for Nature, she worked as Head of Department for Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico, where she participated in negotiations under several UN Conventions and liaised with various multilateral environmental agreements.
Fun fact: Constanza studied the first three years of the Bachelor in Music with a specialty in piano.
Albert Askeljung
Stockholm, Sweden
Prior to joining Business for Nature, Albert worked as a Policy Officer for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). His expertise is within thought leadership, media relations, and knowledge management. For almost a decade, Albert has worked extensively on supporting lifelong learning for sustainable development among political decision-makers and business executives, including through e-learning and other innovative learning approaches.
Fun fact: Albert is a trained farrier and ran his own company for a couple of years early in his career.
Zili Duniya Bungwon
Kaduna, Nigeria
Prior to joining Business for Nature, Zili worked as a Project Officer for the Commonwealth Climate and Law Initiative where she provided support for the biodiversity and climate workstreams, with a particular focus on corporate and financial law. She holds a Bachelor of Law from Baze University, Nigeria and a Master’s in Energy and Environmental Law from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. Zili is licensed to practice law in Nigeria and has experience working in the climate, energy and legal sectors. She hopes to continue to use her knowledge and experience to contribute to mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Fun fact: Zili's favorite pastime is repeatedly binge-watching Criminal Minds.
Anna Brearley
London, United Kingdom
As part of Accenture's Sustainability Services hub, Anna works with private and public organizations to embed sustainability into the fabric of a business, through working with senior leadership teams and boards to build sustainability into the design of the organization. Prior to Accenture, Anna worked with private sector clients on large-scale digital transformation programs after studying Physical Geography and Earth Systems Sciences and gaining a Master's degree in Sustainability and Management.
Fun fact: Anna is a keen cyclist (both road and mountain biking) and can often be found racing around the UK (Or on Zwift!).
Pallavi Kalita
Singapore
Prior to joining Business for Nature, Pallavi worked for several years with the Delegation of the European Union to India where she focused on international trade policy research and advocacy. She also served as a Trade Policy Advisor to the British High Commission, New Delhi. In addition, Pallavi has worked as a researcher with premier Indian think tanks, including the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). She holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK.
Fun fact: Pallavi is passionate about travel and can spend countless hours preparing detailed itineraries, both for herself and for others.
Laureen Missaire
London, United Kingdom
As part of Accenture’s Sustainability Services hub, Laureen is an experienced sustainability professional and has a varied skillset ranging from water security competencies to strategic planning, ESG reporting and data management. Prior to Accenture, she worked at CDP and successfully navigated the intersection of corporate initiatives and capital markets to drive business action. Additionally, she played a key role in implementing software and AI solutions for carbon accounting, aligning GHG reporting programs with industry best practices. Laureen holds an MSc in Sustainability Science and Policy from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
Fun fact: When away from her desk, Laureen can be found in the ceramic studio throwing tableware.
Camila Bonilla
Granada, Spain
As a journalist specialized in environmental reporting, Camila has an interest for understanding the social, economic and political drivers that pose challenges to nature and climate action. Before joining Business for Nature, she worked at El Espectador, Colombia's oldest national newspaper, reporting on the energy transition and biodiversity loss. She is currently doing her Master's Degree on Conflicts, Development and Human Rights at Universidad de Granada.
Fun fact: Camila loves the outdoors in Colombia and has travelled through páramos, turtle nesting spots in northern beaches and spend the night in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.
Coline Ganz
Berlin, Germany
In the past decade, Coline has honed her skills in program & people management and monitoring and evaluation, implementing livelihoods and conservation programs for local and international organizations in Cambodia and Germany. She spends her free time discussing degrowth and ecofeminism.
Fun fact: Coline helped save a Sun Bear in a tiny Cambodian village along the Mekong.
Sooto Ajayi
Lagos, Nigeria
Sooto aims to scale the impact of ambitious leaders and organizations committed to serving their communities and advancing the sustainable development goals. Prior to joining Business for Nature, she worked as the Communications and Engagement Specialist for the World Economic Forum’s Ocean Action Agenda which convenes global leaders from various sectors to fast-track solutions for the most pressing ocean challenges.
Fun fact: Sooto is a proud pan-African by philosophy and upbringing. Although Nigerian by blood, she was born in Cote D’Ivoire and raised in Zambia, Malawi, and Kenya.
Quentin Meekers
Nivelles, Belgium
As part of Accenture’s Sustainability Services hub, Quentin works with private companies to push the Nature & Biodiversity topic on top of their agenda, this after spending 4 years focusing on the circularity agenda. Using his industrial background to understand their many challenges, he helps businesses navigate the complexity of the landscape as well as he challenges their ambitions daily. Prior to Accenture, he worked at Umicore on the recycling of precious metals thanks to his master degree in material science. He also worked at Tenneco, an automotive manufacturer, leading one of the manufacturing lines.
Fun fact: Quentin very recently adopted 3 adorable Indian Runner ducks, helping him to transform the salad-eaters (namely slugs) daily into delicious eggs. Join him in Nivelles for a delicious Omelette!
Wen Ou “Nina” Gao
Beijing, China
Nina is a senior project manager at SinoCarbon, a leading Chinese think tank specializing in climate change. Currently, she is seconded to BfN China, where she works closely with Wei Dong Zhou on policy advocacy, national implementation, business engagement, communications, and partnerships in China.
Fun fact: Nina is passionate about cycling and hiking in nature.
